Open Mic…

I’m looking to do a FAQ Page for our menu bar (see top left hand corner under the header).  I know that many of you who hop on to our site for the first time have lots of questions that may or may not have been answered in earlier posts.  Hopefully, this page will answer some of the repeated questions in one shebang!

Soooooo I’m opening this one up to YOU!  What are some questions you’d like me to cover on the FAQ Page?

oh, you know… did you plan on having quads? what camera do you use? all those 😉
seriously though, that pic is toooo adorable!

  2. Summaiyah Hyder says:

one of the toughest part has to be giving each child the individual attention they deserve. how do you handle that?

  3. Anonymous says:

Did you plan quads?? Are you kidding me?? Who plans that! But what a wonderful surprise, they are darling wonderful blessings! Everyone who meets them adores them.
    Someone who knows

  4. Miriam says:

Whenever I come across a site featuring HOM, I always want the details on how early they were, how long they were in the hospital, etc. A bit about your pregnancy, although I know you have links to the key events around yours. I think that would be a great thing to cover in an FAQ.

Would you like to have more children?

  7. How/Why did you and Brad choose the boys’ names?

  8. I can’t wait to read all the questions!!

  9. Tricia says:

No question but I’m biting my nails waiting for the next “Keeping it Real Rewinds” post. I don’t have much left to chew on–starting to work down the fingers. I’m a stalker from Texas that loves your story and gets a lot of encouragement from reading your posts. I love how you love the Lord!

  10. Margot says:

I would love to know of some of the resources you go to to get supplies for 4 like the wagons. Strollers and such too.

My question always is HOW do you tell Clark and Brooks apart?
    -Samantha

  12. I love the idea for an FAQ. SOme of the nosy things that people like me are always interested in…
-Are any of the boys identical
    -Favorite parenting books
-How/when did they sleep through the night
    -(How)did you breastfeed
    -What’s your daily routine

PS-I recognize a Huggies Overnight diaper in that picture. I love those things.

  13. Yeah, Huggies overnights ROCK!!!

I would love to be able to check on it to remind myself of their birth weight, length, etc. To measure it against how big they have grown…maybe even post what that info was at their 1st and 2nd bdays, too.

    Great idea, Jen!!

    xoxo, Veronica in CA

You probably get this a thousand times a day, but do you plan to have more children? Probably a dumb question, but you never know.

Thanks for sharing your story – I really love your blog!

Hi, I’ve been following your blog for awhile. You have a beautiful family! Your boys are just one week older than my twin boys, so I see a lot of familiar mischief and fun. It really makes me smile! Children are such an incredible blessing. My question is…

I’ve always understood that infertility treatments in no way influence identical twinning, but it seems that there are quite a few sets of higher order multiples with identicals in the group. Do you have any statistics or inside information about this?

    Hope that makes sense!
    Thanks for sharing your lives!

    Katy

i know by now you can tell them apart after having them for 2 + years!

How did you afford to raise 4 kids at one time with only one parent working? Please share you secret on how you afford ..formula, diapers, clothing? We both work and find it hard to support 2 kids!

  18. brownie says:

I would like to know what a typical day is like for you. Timeline and all.

  19. paulastiller says:

How do you and Brad afford for you to be a Stay at home mama in this economy with four children?

  20. lynne from uk says:

I can’t tell Brooks from Clark even when I can see their faces so I certainly couldn’t from that picture!

  21. Cracking up after the comments about the diaper! Gunner, my 6 month old is laying her beside me while I check up on everybody and he has on a Size 4 overnight as well!! They are the only thing that work for my 12 hour sleepers!!

  22. Daddy Scotty says:

    How about answering:

    – Are they natural?
    – Did you take Drugs?
(you know, the typical questions every parent of multiples hear everyday.) – LOL

  23. Jac Tubre says:

How do you always manage to look like such a HOTTIE! Every picture or video you are in (like most recently the attempt at freezing water mid-air) you look great! I can't remember the last time I really fixed my hair (other than the occasional blow dry after washing) and put on makeup. Brad is one lucky fellow!

Love you girl and I can't wait to see the Q&A; results. I'm sure to learn some new tricks…you always have been great at teaching me new quad momma tricks :)

    Jac

  24. I’d love to know more about how you came to choose your boys names. I’m obsessed with names. I did a whole post about my girls names on my blog.
I’m also looking forward to your rewinds about the boys births. Your first reaction to each of them, the emotions, what things were unique about each from the beginning…

  25. Kate says:

Yes, I’m dying to know if you’re going to have more!!

  26. Are Clark and Brooks still in the same crib or have they finally outgrown being together at nap/bedtime?
I can’t remember how I came across your blog, but I have been stalking for about a week. Your boys are SOOO cute. They all have great smiles.

Why do you always dress two of the boys alike and the other two alike? Is it always the same two dressed alike?

Strange question, I know, but it’s puzzled me since finding your blog several months ago.

Great blog, by the way. You do a grand job w/it and your little tykes!
    kd

  28. Crazy question but if/when you were put on bedrest how long was it? And what did you do to keep yourself sane?
I found your blog while on bedrest and believe me reading your blog was os encouraging and uplifting, comical, just a blessing. Thanks so much for sharing. I have had two complication filled pregnancies (singles) and a third that ended tragically. I have often been asked if we will have more, and I often say yes, but the thought of bedrest again is enough to change my mind. Any advice?

  29. That pictures is freaking hysterical!

    Love you!

I discovered your blog a few months ago and have quickly become a fan! I have 2 little boys myself (2 1/2 years and 3 weeks old) and am impressed by all that you manage each day. I am curious about any tips or tricks you have that make it possible for you to afford to stay home with your boys. I am a stay-at-home mom too and am always on the lookout for ideas on how to cut costs but still provide for the boys and have some fun. I’m also curious about whether or not you plan on returning to work eventually, maybe when the boys are older/in school. Thanks!

  31. Hmmm…what do you look foward to each day? Which kind of diapers did you all use when the boys’ were little bitty?
    Just curious!
    ~Elyse~

  32. Jen! I know you… so, I feel like I already know part of the answer ot this… how do you keep such a great attitude and spirit? And, how do you and Brad carve out time for your relationship with one another? You’re one of my heroes!

  33. GibsonTwins says:

    Here are a couple questions:

Do you have any pets? If not, do you think you will ever let the boys get a pet or pets?

Do you plan on returning to teaching at some point?

Have you started potty training any of the boys?

  34. Anonymous says:

You should do a faq page

  35. Dell5 says:

Not a question, just a comment. I made those Andes Mint cookies you blogged about at Christmas……..holy cow they ROCK!!!! They taste just like the Girls Scout Thin Mint Cookies. AWESOME! I have shared them with many people (because I made about 4 dozen!) and everyone loves them. Thanks for the recipe.

  36. Stacey says:

Jen, what sites do you frequent for coupons for healthy foods?

  37. Anonymous says:

How do you afford to be a stay-at-home mom with four growing boys?

  38. JenniferBradley says:

I think others have asked this as well, but I was wondering how you afford to stay home with four children too? We can barely make ends meet with both of us working and we have 3 kiddos. Do share!

  39. Christy says:

Cute topic Jen. I don’t have any questions but I love reading other peoples questions and am anxiously awaiting your replies:) Have a good day!

Your pictures and videos are awesome. What kind of cameras do you use?

  41. Kelly says:

Is feeding time like a feeding frenzy? I get frantic just getting my two food.

  42. jojo says:

Okay,I am dying to know how you keep your house so sparkling clean all the time??! Your kitchen floor is always so shiny and clean and there is absolutely NO clutter anywhere in your home! What is your secret? Do you hire a housekeeper?

  43. Leah says:

I’m a frequenter of your blog! Love it! I also read Suz Steece’s blog, and she mentioned a while back that they weren’t having anymore children, and I’ve been wondering if you were planning to have more in the future? I know I have 3 (an 19 month old and 6 month old twins) and my hands are FULL! But you seem much more organized than I am! So, if it’s not too personal…are ya’ll going to try for more?

  44. Yeh, I acutally did ask the questiona bout who is identical among them (and I got an answer) but I guess others can be interested in that. I’d like to know how their names came to be. I also wondered about when you found about they all would be boys were you alittle bit sad? Sorry if it’s too personal. Maybe some some basic info on each boy, like their favourites, or some main caharcteristics (like when you and your husband made that voting on e.g. who has the biggest smile who takes most after you etc.)

  45. What kind of camera do you use for videos? They are great!

  46. Anonymous says:

I love your boys also. They are the sunshine of my life. So cute, so loveable, and full of life. How lucky we are to have these wonderful little guys.

  47. Kate says:

    I thought of a couple more questions…

What fertility treatment did you undergo?

Were you able to breastfeed and/or pump milk for the boys at all?
