On The 1st Day of 1st Grade…

on the first day of 1st grade

Today marks your first “offical” day of first grade.  What fine little men you are becoming – so independent, bright, funny, determined, and spunky. I have this feeling it’s going to be a great school year.  We’re off to a good start at home, but I’m excited to see you learn with your friends at your school one day a week too.

Your personalities are shining all the more these days.  It’s so amazing to listen to your conversations, and watch each of you interact with each other.  You LOVE being around friends these days, and ditch us quickly whenever someone is around to play with.  You’re growing up so quickly, and it’s a bittersweet, yet beautiful thing to behold.

Brooks

You are the most independent of the bunch. You’re not one to conform easily, and you’re always willing to speak your mind. 😉 You are very artistic, creative, imaginative, and witty. You love time with us, and what a joy it is that you want to spend time with us.

Clark

You are extremely caring and compassionate.  You are a natural caretaker, and have a love (obsession) for all things critter-related. You LOVE to talk, and especially love to make others laugh.

Isaac

You continue to have a love (obsession) for anything sports related.  You thrive on competition (although you’re still learning to loose well), and you have an amazing ability to understand anything revolving around numbers.  You have a very sweet spirit that encourages others.

Henry

You continue to be an outgoing and very confident six year old.  You love to study how things work and tick, and love anything science related.  You are the glue that holds us together.

 1st grade 1st day

There’s plenty of silly, and goofy, and all things BOY that go down in our house, and I can’t imagine it any other way.  I’m thankful to be a mama to four 1st graders today, and I cannot wait to see how God uses your strengths and weakness to bring Him glory.
