Did I Fail to Mention Our Trip to Walt Disney World is Canceled?
Brad has been working on a “magical” surprise for my 30th birthday, a weekend trip to Walt Disney World to visit with my brother who lives in Orlando, and maybe even a day at the beach. He revealed it to me a week or so ago, so that I could help him with the details involved in leaving quadruplets for a few days. We were set to leave at 5:00 this morning….until we learned of Brad’s loss of job, in which we were faced with the difficult decision of cancelling our trip last night.
We were looking forward to sharing some of the memories with you from our weekend, but we know there’s a reason behind this timing, and we’ve been BLOWN AWAY by your support, prayers, and encouragement this morning. Because many of you have asked, Brad’s background is in technical graphics and civil engineering design. I’m sure he would be better with describing the details than I. We are truly thankful for our blogging family and for the way God uses you in our lives!

I am SO sorry to hear that! I can't imagine how scary that must be for you raising quadruplets on one income that is now gone. I will definitely keep you in my prayers.

I cannot imagine how you guys are feeling right now. I really don't know what we would do if we were in your shoes. I do believe that it is all in God's hands. He has a plan for each one of us! You all are in our prayers & I hope he gets a new job offer soon!

Just an idea, I don't know, but he could try to send a resume to Sony? But its in Terre Haute. Not sure how far that would be to drive? But Annie and Richard both worked there and they would give him excellent reccomendations. And both still keep in touch with supervisors there. I will certainly be praying for you. Sioby

so on a lighter note…who needs disney when you can come over to my house…you can play in the neighbors sandbox (instead of going to the beach) then we'll come back to my house and watch a disney movie – claire's favorite is the little mermaid. she can even wear her halloween costume – tinker bell and you can get your picture taken with her, i'll let you talk on my cell phone minutes with dan and then i'll make you mickey mouse shaped pancakes for breakfast! the glass is always half full at jz's house!
Oh you guys….I'm so sorry. I had a feeling when I was there last week that more layoffs were coming. I just hate what has become of such a great company!! I know you guys are in a tougher situation than I was but I truely believe you will pull through and find something else that fits your family just as well.

Jen, I am just catching up and reading about Brad's job loss…I am truly sorry. I understand this kind of financial stress very well, and will be lifting you up in prayer as you seek God's will for a new direction!
I'm so sorry that Brad lost his job and, subsequently, you had to cancel what would have been a wonderful trip. Things happen for a reason, but I hope that Brad finds new work soon and you get to take that trip afterall!
Can you plz have Brad explain what those mean in short terms.

Jen, I'm so very sorry to hear about Brad's job loss. I went through that last year and it was very stressful. I'm thinking of you all, saying prayers.
Jen… I have been there more than once with my husbands job changes.. twice while I was pregnant! It always worked out in the end. Have faith that God does have a plan for your family! Prayers are with you.

Changing the subject, I don't think you gave us the answer to thhe question of who wouldn't go down the slide – unless I missed it?
When my daughter was 5, we took a trip to Disney. When we got back – I found out my job was gone. It is a horrible feeling, but looking back it has all worked out okay. I know things will be okay for you, too. It is just stressful getting through it. Keep your chin up and hopefully you'll get to Disney soon!
