Secrets. (Giveaway)
I have a secret. Part of it lives in this box.
I almost hugged my UPS man yesterday in my driveway. Instead I told him he was the man. He smiled knowingly.
Another box or 2 or maybe more are soon to be shipped.
I love secrets. Except when I’m the one who doesn’t know the secret.
Whoops…
How about I SHARE a surprise with you? Does that make it better? This is a secret worth sharing. And I promise I’ll share what’s in the box(es) soon!
Here’s the scoop: Walmart and P&G; have listened to the voice of families who want more quality options in family television and created the television movie “Secrets of the Mountain”. I’m thrilled to hear that someone is willing to focus on family-oriented and high quality entertainment for TV, because you and I both know it’s a rare combination.
I’ve only seen a trailer of the movie which debuts on Friday April 16th at 8/7c on NBC and I’m anxious to see more!
Here’s a short trailer of the movie and interview clips with some mom bloggers you may know:

So how about a family movie night Friday night? Who’s popping the popcorn? =)
In addition, I have a giveaway to pass along to you: A “Secrets of the Mountain” Bonus Pack that contains the full movie and soundtrack produced by Randy Jackson (Yo,Yo, Dawg!) with artists such as Jordin Sparks and Brooke White.
You can enter by leaving me a comment answering the following question:
How do you get your family to spend quality time together?
**Just be sure to leave a way for me to contact you if you’re chosen as the winner (blog address, email, twitter)!**
Disclosure – Walmart and P&G; provided me with a preview of the movie along with some popcorn and promo materials. I opted to write this post with my own words and opinions and pass this opportunity along to you because I believe promoting quality family entertainment!
We like to play outside and hang out together in the yard.

Our quality time together is spent in one of two places … outside or in the kitchen. We're either playing hard and coloring the driveway, soaking up the sun and fresh air, and having an absolute blast OR we're in the kitchen making dinner, baking cookies, or making fruit smoothies.
i know this sounds lame, but we really like to go for car rides together. windows down, music up…
we love to go outside and play together. Actually doing anything as a family is fun. The kids can find fun and joy in anything:)

My son & I started geocaching together. It's like a treasure hunt with GPS. He's only 5 so I look for easy finds but Charlie loves holding the GPS map & watching it mark us moving.
Plus we have started a Family Game time on Sunday afternoons. Everyone in the extended family is invited so there are different numbers every week. The games differ on the mix of adults/kids who are there.
We LOVE family movie nights, this one looks great! We do like to play games and go for walks and read stories too!
We are living with my parents for a couple of months until we move across the country. My husband, daughter & I all go on an evening walk after dinner every night to talk about our day and to spend some time together. I'm loving the warmer weather.
UPS men must get the funniest comments sometimes. I mean, everyone's always happy to see them, right? Yesterday the UPS guy came to my house right as I was finishing up re-installing my carseats I took out and scrubbed down. I told him if he had shown up 10 minutes earlier I would have made him help me. 🙂
As far as family fun? We like to go for "adventures" in the yard together and just play and have fun.
Love you Ms. Murray!!

Sometimes we have to schedule it. Put it on the calendar and make it happen.
My girls are older (15) and one of the best ways that we have created family time in the last few years is on our boat. We're all together, there's no where to go away and hide and "plug in" and we all have to work together to keep things running. We always have the best time out on the water.
We eat together as a family everyday. In the winter we like to play board games together (this year it was monopoly),and in the summer there are a lot of softball games going on in our back yard.
We love to put out a "picnic" blanket on the floor and have Friday night pizza and watch a movie together.

My son is 13 and our family time is spent at home shooting hoops, retriving his basballs he is hitting to practice his hitting, practicing his catching, or best yet going to all his baseball games. We will have about 70 baseball games this summer and had 75 last season and we only missed 1 as a family. We have a good time and brings us all closer together, but I think the best was 2 wks ago when we back home to church in Covington for Easter. It was awesome to worship together on Easter Sunday. What a great day it was and made me promise to him how important family time was.

Spending quality time with my family is my favorite! We always turn off the TV and enjoy each other's company outside! Thank goodness it is getting warm.
Our quality family time starts with the TV off and us just hanging out, playing games, going for a walk. Anything where there is no technology involved and time for everyone to get in on the action!
I have so many favourite family activities! Playing outside while we BBQ, then eat outside – a great summer activity. Tonight it was cuddles and puzzles on the couch as it was raining. After the munchkin goes to bed, it's popcorn and movies or favourite tv shows for the parentals!
Other than screaming, "We are going to have fun family time together even if it kills us and we all end up in time out!!" ?
We try to limit the amount of errands we have to run on weekends so we can spend the maximum time together as possible. Since the weather's been nice lately, we try to get to the park.
Every Friday night is family movie night for us. We drag out the sleeping bags and the whole family camps out in the living room with popcorn and a movie or two. It's intentional time for all of us to just chill together. 🙂

We like to play board games or play basketball in the driveway (butler vs Duke) or go camping and hiking/exploring.
Thank you for posting this, because I was really unsure if it was OK for my kids to really actually watch, especially my almost 7 year old who gets nervous. I feel better about letting him watch it now!
Oh….and we LOVE games! Or walks, park time.
We love to take a walk together in our local park or along the dirt roads near our house. The kids love it when I pick them up from day care and tell them we're going to the park!! Squeals of joy ring out!
We love to go fishing together – from the boat or the shore!

We have atleast one (usually more though) family nights a week. We always start our evenings out with dinner as a family around the kitchen table. Once we’ve eaten and picked up, we pull out games and play as a family or we pop up some popcorn and watch a good movie together.
