Fall Bucket List 2011
Do you like lists?
I do simply for the pleasure of checking something off! {Confession: Sometimes I even write down things I’ve already completed just to check it off!}
Although it was quite a memorable and enjoyable summer, it slipped away so quickly that I wasn’t able to do everything that I’d planned in my head. As Fall takes over, I thought it might be fun to come up with a Fall Bucket List of things I would like us to experience as a family if possible this season. It’s a list with all of the traditional fall flavors and outings, sprinkled with a few new ideas.
This way if I write it down I can remember it better, make plans to execute, and check them off one by one!
So what’s on YOUR Fall Bucket List?
Dangit, Jen! I had just decided to forgo the fall bucket list this year and then you go post one like this? So fun, yet so doable. Great. Now I’m going to have to copy you.
🙂
Go shopping with our Spanish foreign exchange student for her homecoming dress, head to the coast for an acquarium/beach trip, make s’mores inside, go the pumpkin patch and attend an Oregon football game.
Yeah… I’m totally the same way with lists! How can you not love them? 🙂
I think I may have to create a list right now!
It needs to include:
1) Celebrating my hubby’s birthday (check!)
2) Make art with leaves
3) Buy a new iron so I can better seal the kids’ plastic bead artwork
4) Go bowling
5) Attend a twin mommy’s weekend off (complete with spa)
6) Get nails and hair done sometime before the first snow falls
7) Get a new wake-up light for the bedroom before daylight saving ends
8) See a stand-up show
9) Have a long weekend at the in-laws (complete with sleeping in)
10) Get family photo taken for Christmas letters
Now I can’t wait to make it all happen 🙂 THANK YOU 🙂
Wow, an “8” with a “)” looks pretty cool up there!
We made a Summer Bucket List and I’m so glad we did! For one, it let me put down all the things I wanted to do this summer – with the kids, around the home and with my hubby. It also let me really hear what the kids wanted to do! (We had a long list!) I looked back at it at the beginning of August and while we’d done pretty good – we made it a mission to try to accomplish the last few things we hadn’t done yet.
Our fall is incredibly busy but hopefully we can squeeze in lots of fun!
Here are a few things we’d like to do:
1. Hayride at the Pumpkin Patch
2. Check out the hands on Robots exhibit at the museum.
3. Road Rally/Scavenger Hunt with hubby and friends
4. Watch my kids be in a wedding!!
Right now at the top of my list is to bring the harvest that we haven’t had a chance to start yet! Then it would be to celebrate both our girls’ birthdays in November, and enjoy each day and all the wonderful surprises that come with it!
Jen, so glad to see you doing this. It was a shock to my system when our twin boys started kindergarten (last year) and only THEN did I realize we no longer had as many opportunities to do this fun stuff when they are gone all day, every day. The time is a-slippin’ away… Enjoy your time with those (not-so) little guys that God blessed you with!
Fun list! I have a sorta list in my head. Things I’d like to do if our family can. Today we went to a pumpkin patch and got some pumpkins. I had on my list for us to go to a UT football game. Until I found out that it was $85 per person {even kids!}. And that quickly was removed from my list. 😉
What a fun idea! I have a list of fun things we like to do in the fall, but I didn’t make it into a bucket list! Will do!! Thanks for sharing!
Enjoy your weekend!
Cindy 🙂
