Mamas, Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys

Another great Halloween is in the books! We had a great time with our four Buckaroos racing door to door with neighborhood friends. It was so fun as a parent to step back and just watch them enjoy it all! They loved their costumes (especially the guns – boys!)

We had most of our costume pieces already – boots, shirts, belts, jeans, etc. And The Dollar Store came through again with $1 cowboy hats! Our only investment in the costume was the guns, which are sure to get plenty of use in the months to come!

This morning they had a blast counting and sorting their candy into categories. We took out a handful of their favorites (and a couple of ours – Parent Tax) and had them weigh it at a local dentist office, who exchanges it for $1 per pound. $7.50 richer than the night before, and their candy will make some troops happy overseas. Win.Win.

Thanks for letting us share our yearly Trick-or-Treat tradition with y’all – hope you enjoy the pictures and the personality that comes through these shots!

My grandson, who is 3 weeks younger than your boys, a) noticed that “they have the same gun as ME” and b) was extremely interested in “how did they grow a mustache?”! Haha! Cute costumes!

They would love the boys’ room! (Back in Salem, anyways. We just made it to England this afternoon.). Nick built a western town complete with hotel, jail, secret passageway and more.
