Splish Splash… Bathtime with Quadruplets
As you can see, our boys LOVE their bathtime. Brooks and Clark especially love to see how much of the bath water they can kick out of the sink and onto the floor, cabinets, countertops, window sill, and best of all Mommy or Daddy. Today held a big accomplishment for me. I bathed the boys all by myself. Usually we use the team approach one bather (usually me, Brad, or my mom) and one dresser. We hand one off, and grab the next, dunk them in, and so on….Today I was on my own and the boys were smelly so I went for it. I have to admit, I had some help from Einstein. No, not Albert, the Disney Baby Einstein. Today was the first time I’d let the boys watch. I bought 2 from ebay for 99 cents for “desperate” times. It worked like a charm. The boys were safe in their bouncies, bumbo, and exersaucer and I bathed them all one by one! The house has the sweet smell of Baby Magic! Although, I’m not proud of myself about the video time, I think that sometimes you have to do what you can to survive when you have quadruplets. Well, I’m soaked, better use this naptime to get a real shower!
too cute! i love the pics. they are each so precious. geesh i’m worn out just bathing my little claire – you really are super momma!

Well done! PLEASE don’t beat yourself up over Baby Einstein. Seriously, my son learned SO much from them. Just wait until they start pointing and telling you the objects on the screen. Cute pics btw!
I agree….sometimes you need to do whatever it takes to get through the day (or the moment)…the video was that for you this time! 🙂
We recently started using Baby Einstein on a trip to Norway where sometimes mommy just needed a break. I also feel bad about it but I am getting over it.
Some of the best pictures so far! I don’t think anyone is going to judge what you do raising four boys!

Jen,
You are awesome to bathe 4 babies all by yourself. I’ve never even done it with 3. Don’t let anyone give you are hard time about the videos. Everyone does what they can to survive in their job. Most people forget that parenting is a job, too! Hope those Podees work out for you, and I’m still praying for you get a free quad stroller!
God bless,
Amanda
Forget that video guilt!! It’s not like you put it in for 6 hours so you could paint your nails and read magazines!! Four baths and four great pics, what a woman!!!
Tami
Loved the pics of slippery, adorable baby boys!
Still thinking about you and praying for you often! Thanks for sharing another part of your journey!!
God bless-

I LOVE Baby Einstein!! We had a first birthday party with the whole theme. Carter sees the caterpillar and goes crazy. It’s amazing what can happen from watching the images on the screen! Also, this is sound advice from a kindergarten teacher with only one baby! 🙂 We LOVE it! So happy when I check in and see new posts! Thanks for the smiles and warm fuzzies! 🙂
Don’t feel bad about letting them watch the Disney video while you bathed them!! YOU BATHED 4 BOYS BY YOURSELF! My b/g twins are 9 months old and they started watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse probably around 3-4 months just to keep them entertained for a few minutes so bottles could get made and now they love it. You probably just became super cool in another way to the boys 🙂
Great job with the baths too btw! Love the pics

wow… just thinking of what we have to look forward to… *lol*
CUTE!
Wait til the day comes when you bathe them all in one big tub! And don’t feel bad about the video! Even super-moms with only one baby let their kids watch videos every now and then! So we super-moms with four certainly can too! Great pictures!
I love the collage of the 4 boys in the bath! Very cute….and I have to chime in and agree that you cannot beat yourself up about using the Baby Einstein DVD’s to entertain the babies every once in awhile. It can sometimes be a little break in the day that allows you to get something done. My girls loved the Neighborhood animals and Baby MacDonald DVD’s from the set. We’ve moved on to the Wiggles and Baby signs DVD’s…usually when I’m trying to cook dinner:O
They are so cute! Awww, make me miss baby times … (and I thought I’d just pop back with this link, about quads on my blog. I’ve got another blog with photos, but I’d need your email address to give you access to that one..)
