Our 4 Left Feet…(and 4 Right Ones Too!)

The Alexander’s (remember our favorite hair stylist?) took the boys shoe shopping Thursday night. Our outings have been rare to none due to RSV season, so this was a treat indeed! I think the boys associate the choo-choo wagon with shots, so I think they were waiting for the poor shoe lady to stick them with a needle (hence the tears)! Soon enough they were all smiles and fascinated by their new kickers. They LOVE them and so do WE!

Such grown up little men! Here’s the pictures to tell the story….

Henry sporting his new kickers

Clark not too thrilled by the idea

Brooks waiting his turn

Isaac soakin’ up the attention

Favorite quote from Mr. Alexander: “You act like a cat bein’ neutered.” CLASSIC!

Lesson Learned: Shoe Shopping is Exhausting! (Can I get an Amen from the ladies?)

We’ve already initialed the bottoms of each shoe to distinguish sizes (Henry: 4 1/2 Brooks: 4 1/2 Clark: 5 1/2 Isaac: 5) I guess identical DNA (B&C;)doesn’t equal identical shoe size!

Gotta love the velcro action!

I think the last picture is the cutest thing I have ever seen. I have three girls that are all one year apart in age – but I could never imagine multiples! Looks like you and your husband are doing an amazing job! Can’t wait to come back and read more.

  6. Ha! Shoe shopping is on our agenda for this week, too! My daughter keeps getting mad that we don’t let her walk to/from the car by herself all the time, but she doesn’t have outdoor shoes (just soft leather-soled ones). Hopefully they’ll enjoy their new kicks, too!

  7. What an ordeal you had! Love the pics of the boys, but oh my goodness!!! So cute!

Your boys are so cute. Reminded me of taking mine shoe shopping!

My boys are ID and their feet are different. While they wear the same number size Connor has a wide foot. So when I bought their first stride rites Colton got a 4/2 and Connor got a 5 M cuz they didn’t have any wides in the shoes I liked.

  12. Karen says:

plz don’t get offended at this question, but why are you shopping at Stride Rite when you have *4* boys??? : P i had no choice with my 1st son, he had an XW foot and couldn’t find him shoes ANYWHERE!!! but now he’s older, i can find him regular shoes. and luckily, my 2nd son has smaller feet so now i go to Payless or Target : P

but they definitely are cute shoes at Stride Rite!! maybe your boys have wide feet too?? : P

  21. Drea says:

    VERY CUTE.
Calebs in need of shoes now.. he hates trying on shoes and hes 3 1/2.

  22. Tara says:

I have been reading your blog for awhile. I also love Stride Rite shoes. They are the best for little feet learning to walk. They are the only shoes that I put on my little ones for the first 5 years of their life. Your feet are the most important part. I try to hit the sales and clearance events. We visit the retail Stride Rite store in our area and the outlet.

    No offense taken.
Actually ALL of the boys required extra wides, so I was glad we went to Stride Ride, but we received these shoes as a GIFT. They were already picked out for us, thanks to the generosity of the Alexanders. We would have been thrilled with Target, Payless, etc. but they were sold on Stride Rite, as many are for their fitting and overall quality. It was an incredible gift! So Blessed!

well that is an awesome gift! my oldest son was also XW so i didn’t know what i’d do without Stride Rite! they are really good quality shoes, i just know it would be hard to always have to buy them for a lot of people… let alone X 4!!! : P

sorry, i will keep my mouth shut next time!! 😉

p.s. other shoes i found for my “sasquash” footed boy 😉 were VANS, they have a wide cut. i heard other moms tell me this too, who had sons with wide feet.

and of course, your boys are darling!!

  26. So cute! Love the pic of the shoes all lined up! Can you imagine when the start school…backpacks, coats, hats, gloves, shoes…my friend built cubbies for her quads…I totally see that in our future as well!
