Just Breathe….
Thank you for your prayers over the past few days. Things are improving daily with just a few bumps along the way. Brooks has been entertaining us with his speed steroids extremes. One minute he is stoned and out of it, the next he is frustrated by his failed attempts to scale the walls, literally! He has this impulsiveness of needing to climb all of the sudden. It’s completely bizarre! He takes his last dose tonight, so hopefully we will see some of the true Brooks shining through those donut eyes soon.
Baby Einstein has come to our rescue once again as a distracting device during our time in the breathing chair. Check out the “wigged out” Brooks getting “nebulized”….
Thankfully the other boys’ symptoms are fairly minor for now. Clark has exhibited some wheezing, so he’s getting his turn in the breathing chair as well. Don’t you think he’d make a great firefighter someday?
Translation in case you don’t speak “one year old”:
“Whas Da?” w/ pointer finger = What’s That? (We think, anyway!)
Regardless it’s cute, especially muffled. =)
Breathing easier,
Hopefully this will pass soon!!! Glad Brooks is doing better and hopefully he will be back to his self soon!

Long time stalker, first time to comment. Glad your little guys are on the upperward trend to getting better. I was just thinking it was really sad that I could pick out what Baby Einstein it was and the exact spot that it was in. Maybe I have seen it one to many times.
I’m glad your little guy is on the mend. I had to do breathing treatments like that when I was a little girl!
awwww…sweet boys!!! been thinking about you guys NON-STOP! glad they are doing better! hope you are getting some sleep now!
Thank God for a speedy recovery!
Praise the Lord that they are doing better! We feel ya with the neb treatments – Cohen and Sophia both have to endure those from time to time. We’re still praying for all of you and know that God is good! Lots of love! The Goerlich Gang
Been thinking about you all weekend and was hoping no news was good news. Glad to hear Brooks is improving and none of the other boys are showing any distress. Will continue to keep you in my prayers!
They are adorable!!!! Glad to hear they’re doing better.
Mommy of five
My kids didn’t do so well w/breathing treatments…they sure did do a good job handling it! I’m glad things are getting better.
OH! Those poor sweet boys!
I just hate what the steroids do!
Back in the day (aka when I only had 3 kids) when they used to give one called Dodecadron (sp???)my kids would LITERALLY try to rip their skin off. It made them insane! For days no one slept. It was awful.
I am so glad steroids are given for a limited number of days. 🙂
He sure is cute! 😀
Glad to hear things are looking a bit better. We will continue to pray for a full recovery and that the rest of your beautiful family stays healthy.
So sweet – both of them. Tim’s 2nd daughter had to go through those breathing treatments all of the time when she was small – so we can relate to that. It’s amazing how good they are to sit through that – Bri was also. Loved the waiving bye bye – how adorable. Hard to believe they are at that age already to do things like that….can’t wait to seem them again – BEFORE HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION! 🙂 Glad things are improving for you – hope you’ve been able to get some rest! Love – Aunt Dar Dar 🙂
So glad that they are doing better! Poor little things!
poor boys!!! Glad Brooks is feeling better. How did Clark do without his crib buddy?
That’s TOTALLY a “What’s that?”
Ahhh…the good old nebulizer, we love it here at the Vanoven house!
My little Bug is also on the nebby! GEESH! the pics are very sweet though. Baylee has 4 treatments a day. In the mornings before heading off to daycare I turn the TV to The Wiggles and she doesn’t MOVE! At night it’s a different story!
So glad the kids are doing better! Aren’t breathing treatments such fun? We’ve done our fair share of those! Thomas used to get them every day as part of his normal medical regimine. Now he only needs them if he gets wheezy.
I’m thinking that after sitting through 2 of those treatments, Brad’s lungs were probably pretty clear too, huh? 🙂 I love catching up on your family through your blog! Take care!
