Jen- Too cute–That made me miss the general silliness we used to have studying anatomy!! Hearing your voice made me remember the ridiculous songs we used to make up to remember stuff…since Mr. Ney was never super helpful in that regard! 🙂 Can’t wait to see the rest of the installments! Have a great weekend!

Jen – My family has been following your website for awile now. We lived in Brownsburg for a short time (18 mos). That was 8 years ago. Loved the video. We kept watching the bachground for landmarks that we might know. We haven’t been back to the area for a couple years now, but I think it may be time for a road trip of our own! Can’t wait for the next installment.

That was a great video! I can’t believe all the stuff to pack for four babies. It’s a lot just to pack for one baby! All the baby stuff is so big and takes up so much room! Looking forward to the next installment!

  12. Stephanie says:

You guys are adorable! Its cool to be nerds these days! 🙂 lol Happy Mothers Day!

Why do you guys buy gas at Citgo? Don’t you know that Citgo is owned by Hugo Chavez – the ruthless, anti-American dictator of Venezuela?

Try Speedway or Shell next time!

Great video!! Really shows your personalities and that is what draws us lurkers to your blog.

Can’t believe you are up to 3.69 a gallon. We are at 3.48 (in Dallas, TX) and that is too high! I am spending $80 to fill up and am lucky if it lasts the whole week.

Anyway, can’t wait for the next video. Keep ’em coming!

Not dorks! I promise! There was nothing dorky about that.
You have such a cute family! 🙂
LOL about the “wrong way”. heehee
How long did it take til you figured that one out?

  17. That was funny…I, too loved the caption about going the wrong way. I also liked your voice when you were talking about watching the video years from now and saying, “I remember when gas was 3.69 a gallon”…
My husband and I are nerds, too. One time when we were on vacation in Florida, there was a tropical storm nearby so the ocean was so choppy and it was so windy. He videotaped me on the balcony of our hotel like I was doing the weather forecast for the news. I don’t know who was sillier..him for taping it or me for doing it!! 🙂 Looking forward to the rest! Hope you find a vehicle soon!

You need to get Britax car seats for those boys so that they are safe in the car! Get rid of those no name seats!! Oh, and get a Chevy Suburban. Perfect vehicle for large families! You won’t regret it!

  19. Anon – Those no name seats happen to be Evenflo and they are quite safe. Appreciate your concern over our family’s well being, but we got it covered!

  20. PS Doug, We buy gas from the whichever gas station happens to be the cheapest. We’re loyal no other nation other than the good ole U S of A, who is ridiculously oil dependent. However, I’m a HUGE fan of Gas America fountain pop! =)

  21. Nikki says:

You and your husband are too cute! Can’t wait to hear the rest of the story…

I love your use of idioms! Where did you learn all those?
By the way, the boys are adorable! Happy 2nd Mommy’s Day to you!

you 2 are hilarious!!! You had me cracking up..especially when the caption popped up!! HA!!

How fun!! Can’t wait to see the next installments. 🙂

  26. Ashhog says:

Anxiously awaiting the next episode! Ya’ll are too funny!

  27. Jamie says:

That was cute. Glad to know we are not the only members of the Dork Club!!! I just love your blog.

  28. kat says:

but the carseat straps should not be so high on the boys— at or BELOW shoulders, not dangling from afar. Maybe visit a carseat tech to be helped?

With such precious cargo you want to take all safety steps!

  29. Anonymous says:

Kat is right about the carseat straps. I have been a mother much longer than you. The local fire departments used to help with this. Not sure if they do where you live.

You should take the advice and look into it.

  30. We’re on it. Rest assured.

  31. Anonymous says:

I guess I missed the part of your blog where you asked people to give you parenting instructions…
No advice from me! Everything looks great!! No one loves those boys more than you, I know you’re doing the BEST all the time!! Love the dorkfest! When I grow up I hope I’m as much fun as you two.

  32. Cupcake says:

Yes, I agree, you really need to stop at a local police station. They are trained in car seat safety and will help teach you how to properly install the seats and adjust the straps so that the boys are safe. Most parents do this when their kids are newborns, but it’s never too late to be safe! And, I second the Britax seats. They are THE best! Even though you guys say you are cheap , in my opinion ,there is no savings when it comes to sacrificing the safety of your children in a car!

  33. Anonymous says:

I was wondering if you could share how you add those titles on to your videos? I would love to be able to do that too! Thanks!

  34. Tavelling is forever changed! I’m glad I’m not the only one who messes up directions. It looks like y’all have the car rides down and have everything you’ll need for the road. Have a safe trip and a Happy Mother’s Day!

  35. Anonymous says:

It never ceases to amaze me how people think they can just tell other parents everything they are doing wrong, or THINK they are doing wrong…ummmm….ya’ll worked REALLY hard to get these sweet boys here and I am willing to bet that ya’ll are doing everything in your power to keep them safe and healthy!!! Jen, I am so happy you are not letting these crazy people get to you…epecially people commenting and telling you where to buy your gas…the nerve of some people!!! ANYWAY…I LOVE the updates and you and Brad are so much fun to watch and a sense of humor is what keeps a marriage going…I will be married 17 years this year and when things are rough, it is so nice to have someone that makes you laugh when all you want to do is cry!! Didn’t mean to write a novel, but love your updates and following your story and think ya’ll are GREAT WONDERFUL SAFE PROTECTIVE PARENTS!!!!!!! 🙂

  36. Moni Graf says:

Man, Jen, I don’t know if we can be blogging friends anymore. The dorkiness meter is out of control! Just kidding. Billy and I embrace our nerdy ways and love it when we realize we’re not alone. Here’s hoping your beautiful boys take humor lessons from their parents!
Glad your back home, safe and sound (minus the quad-mobile).
    Love,
    The Graf Quads

p.s. Happy Mother’s Day on Sunday (personally I think it should be an all-week affair)!

  37. I love the video. It was hilarious! It just made my day:) Have a great Mother’s Day with your kiddos!

I think people are genuinely concerned and offering their experience as parents to Brad and Jennifer. Remember just because they have 4 boys, do not forget that they are very new parents..and I am sure will welcome any advice from us experienced parents. I know when i was a first time mom, i was grateful for other experienced moms offering me advice and as much as I thought i was doing the best thing by my kids and being super protective and safe, I did not have all the answers. So, to those that are bashing those offering sound advice, maybe you should step back and stop being so critical of others. Jeeesh.. And, Jen , I hope you guys were able to get a new “quad mobile!” Although we dont have quads, we do have 4 kids, and love our Tahoe!

  39. Anonymous says:

I would like say that I doubt that Jen and Brad would even post publicly on their blog about learning how to parent their kids and open their blog up to comments, if they didn’t want to receive comments.

  40. Lyn says:

First of all, if people were truely concerned and trying to offer friendly advice they wouldn’t be hiding behind an “anonymous” comment. Put your name and see how brave you really are to add a comment!!!

  41. Jen, I just wanted to wish you a very Happy Mother’s Day! Have a great day!
    -Charity & the Clan

  42. I read you blog all the time, thank you to Brad and yourself for opening you hearts and family to let us follow along with you. I think you know what is best for your children and wouldnt put them at any harm. I can’t wait for further vacation installments. Thanks again for sharing. You guys are so funny. Those boys are so adorabely cute.

Oh how I love to see the craziness!!! LOL. We pack 5 into our Grand Caravan, and since the birth of the triplets….it does not seem so “Grand” anymore. ROFL. I need a church van.

Anyway….SO cute, and I can totally relate!

  45. Mrs. Wilson says:

That’s a sweet video! Your kiddos look so cute!

And we have the exact same carseat (except one, not four) in beige. I love it (them)!

  46. Chelle' says:

I know this was posted 10 days ago and I hope you still receive my comment… but I am SHOCKED at the suggestions, advise, and comments posted here regarding your vehicle and your “no name carseats”. Furthermore- the instructions to head to a local firestation and to not sacrifice the children’s safety becuase you are cheap???? I’m DUMBFOUNDED!!!

As if it’s not enough that they post anon… but the fact that what they are advising is INCORRECT makes me shake my head. Just goes to show that you can be sincere.. and sincerely WRONG all at the same time.

And what is the deal with your vehicle not being good enough? Seems like everyone fits to me. For Pete’s sake we brought my third child home in the back seat of a mid size Saturn wedged between her brothers. Ironically- without a Tahoe or Suburban… all three are still alive 4 years later.

You are doing a GREAT JOB!!! I just wanted you to know that.

  47. Anonymous says:

I was secretly hoping this older footage would show that your boys weren't always so dang cute, but alas…it appears they've always been adorable!

So, how long did it take you to realize that you needed to turn around? 🙂
