Attack of the Dishwasher

DSC_0005c

Mama had Brooks and Henry the other night to herself while Clark and Isaac ran to Lowes with Daddy.  It was a perfect opportunity to take advantage of some "down time" to get some tasks around the house done with my little helpers. Hmmmm…..I wonder how many pounds the dishwasher door can hold?

By the way, I’m working on my first "rewind post". There’s lots of thoughts floating around in my big ole noggin’ that I need to start writing down….

I’d love a catchy little title for my reality rewinds.

Any creative ideas?

Talk amongst yourselves…..

De-lurking to say that your post cracked me up….my twins totally do that same thing! They are close to the same age as your boys. We are constantly battling to keep them off of the dishwasher door when it’s open (or from grabbing things out of it).
    I enjoy reading your blog:)

  2. My two like to take stuff in and out of the dishwasher, but surprisingly, haven’t ever climbed in!

As I look at this photo too, I think you and i have the same kitchen cupboards! hehe!

as for suggestions on your rewinds…I do like your “Reality Rewind” thought Or you could do something along the lines of the old speech “4 score and X years ago…”

    Can’t wait to read more!

Cute post! But, be careful, my one 25 lb toddler broke my dishwasher door. So, just a warning!’

    I like reality rewinds!

What kind of camera do you use? It takes awesome pics, they are so clear and the color is so defined! Your boys are precious!!!

  8. If you rewind waaaay back: “The Murray Crew 4merly known as 2”

“The Days of Four” (like the days of yore)

    “The Murray 4runner”

  9. Funny how so many people are overwhelmed by one baby and for you “only” having two home is a break!

I’ve been wondering the same thing about our dishwasher door, but it only has one boy climbing on it! What is the toddler obsession with dishwashers anyway? I bet when they’re old enough to actually empty it or load it, they won’t want to have anything to do with it!

i was going to say the exact same thing—toddlers obsession with dishwashers—don’t get it, but it cracks me up! oh jen…how i wish i could come play with you and your boys!!! they are just so freakin’ CUTE!

Why do ALL toddlers love to do this?! it’s hilarious! Mylo LOVES to “help” me load and unload the dishwasher. I’ve had to wait until he’s in his high chair eating, or napping though because for some reason he ALWAYS goes for the knives!

Just wait until they discover the dryer. Jackson finally discovered it about a month ago. We had a good-talking about the dryer is NOT a toy.

Or wait until they decide to eat bugs. Jackson had a timeout at preschool yesterday for trying to eat an ant. His excuse: Well, Sam did it first!

I felt like such a mom – Just b/c Sam did it, doesn’t mean you need to do it!

I LOVE it! That would be a test seeing if it could take all 4 of them! ha! Our 4 LOVE emptying out the dishwasher. They will hand the silverware to Grandma to put away. Now if they could just do the laundry! (=
