“Due” for a 2nd Birthday Party
It was an awesome celebration on Saturday; Great food, great company, great presents, great memories. We woke the boys up to a house full of people who’s 50 eyes were all on them, which took them a little while to warm up to (except for our entertainer Isaac), but the cupcakes helped ease their anxiety. I handed off my camera to Aunt Kristy to help document our day.
The theme was initials/alphabet. It revolved around these ADORABLE shirts by Smitten & Co.
I found her on Etsy and she came up with this awesome design. I absolutely LOVE them, don’t you? Go check out her other amazing designs HERE. Way too adorable! Thank you so much, Tara. I can’t wait to work with you again sometime!
We started off the party watching their 2 year video montage. Don’t worry, I’ll be posting it this week…
Then it was on to the FOOD! Here’s the spread:
Each person had a cupcake with their own monogram. Funfetti Cake with homemade Vanilla Butter Cream Icing.
The boys weren’t too sure about what to do with the "hot" on their cupcakes. Maybe they’ll blow out their candles next year!
The proud parents watching their boys down their cupcakes…
Isaac immediately went back to playing basketball to burn off his cupcake calories. He entertained the guests with his 6 foot swishes.
.
A little story time before the presents…
Taking a rare opportunity for a family picture…
From there it became a massive array of toys. The boys demonstrated the typical kid reaction to clothes; throwing them aside and looking for the "real" goodies. However, WE are super appreciative of the new wardrobe options.
Overall, it was just a wonderful time with those we love dearly, celebrating another year in the lives of 4 miracles.
WONDERFUL! Birthdays are so much fun…I love how the boys call the candles “hot”! How hilarious! Looks like you all had a great time.
BTW…Isaac’s hair looks so much lighter than the other boys’??!
Yeah! SOOOO fun!! Thanks for sharing- can’t wait for the video montage!!!
They are simply precious! I’ve been brainstorming what to do for my little guy’s 2nd birthday in July. I did the monkey party like you did last year. Thinking possibly about farm animals.

So glad it was a great celebration! The boys are adorable as always, and I love thier b-day party shirts! Too cute.
My son turns 2 this week, so my husband decided he needs to practice so he can blow out the candles. His training started tonight…it was pretty cute!
Aww – how adorable and how sweet – and how clever! Say – I wasn’t too far off with the theme – I guessed “numbers” – lol – that’s pretty close to letters.

love those shirts, they look like real little men now……:)
wow how cheap you are! you only serve cupcakes and chips and dip and expect everyone to bring at least 4 separate presents for all your kids. and you dont even serve them real food. wow. cheapos.
4 ADORABLE miracles!
I could just eat them…and their cupcakes…and my cupcakes…maybe I’m just hungry 🙂
Jac
“Cheapo” is growing on me…Perhaps it will replace quatro mama.
WOW! Jenn I have been reading you blog for a long time now and it just amazes me the comments people can make. I know you and the other quad moms endure rude comments often. I commend you all for your grace and poise. People do not come to birthday parties for food, they are their to show how much they love you and your family. I can not imagine you or Brad expecting anyone that is invited to your home to bring presents. The true friends and family that you invite would probably give your children presents even if you did have a party. Jenn, keep up the good work! You are a fabulous mother and wife.
Mamajojo, you have no couth to you. By your comment to Jenn, you have shown that you are a greedy person and I feel sorry for you. I pray one day you will find the true meaning of celebration.
If it makes you feel better, I must be a cheapo too, because I loved your party pictures. The theme was so cute and that food table looked mighty good to me! I’m glad you guys all had fun! They are too cute!
That looked like such a fun party! The boys are getting so big! Loved the letter theme…
*Patiently waiting for the next addtion of Keeping it Real Rewinds* hint hint…oh and the FAQ’s LOL
Hope you had a great day, birthday boys! Thanks for letting me be a small part of it – you were SO incredibly handsome in your shirts!:) You sure are blessed to have such a sweet Mommy…I’ve loved talking to her over the past few weeks! Your party couldn’t have been any more PERFECT than it was!!!!!
Love their birthday t-shirts! And I love etsy too! I’m glad our husbands got to spend a little time together this week. I know Matt really enjoyed it!
