Rain on Our Parade (Again!)
For the second year in a row, the boys sported jackets to the 4th of July Parade.
See last year’s picture in the IndyStar for proof:
It’s just plain absurd! Usually we are sweating buckets in the Indiana humidity. However, the cooler temps and the rain couldn’t dampen our spirits. After all, there were fire trucks, police cars, horses, clowns (not Brooks’ favorite), music, and CANDY! Henry learned to unwrap the candy wrappers and help himself, before mama caught him red handed!
Even with the rain, it was a GREAT MEMORY! We love experiencing holidays with our boys, and we’re ever so thankful for the freedom of our nation, America!
Next up: The Murray Crew’s 1st Fireworks!
They are getting so big! They are starting to look so grown up. I love your crown! ๐
awwww! how cute are those munchkins?!?!? what a fun age to experience the parade and fireworks! can't wait. you look good, hot mama. loved the video and the "running off of the sugar highs"…love you SO much.

We have had unending rain here in New England as well. My 19-mo old opens the front door each morning and asks "raining?" and then cries. I think we had 3 days in the month of June with no rain and July has been just as bad so far. We actually moved some outdoor toys into the garage and have the car parked in the driveway for now. Rainy day activity advice?
The sugar high video made my evening! They are all so HILARIOUS! Poor Brooks and the clown…maybe he will like them one day! At least the rain did not stop the Murray crew ๐

It's a good thing the rain held off until the end of the parade. Next year it'll probably be a record high ๐
Caileigh learned how to unwrap the candy wrappers too. Check out my blog for a picture of her "two fisting" suckers. http://runyon6familyblog.blogspot.com
The boys are too cute as usual!
Jen-
Brooks and I share a special bond…I still feel the same way about clowns (and I reacted just like him as a child!!!)!
I also just had to tell you- I'm so impressed with their /f/ and /g/ sounds when they said "flag"!! Way to go!! ๐ Only a fellow SLP would understand, right!?
Loved the video- thanks for sharing! I still want to find a way to see you again soon and the little guys in person too! ๐
Haha…Mylo figured out how to open the candy wrappers too. I finally just gave up and let him do what he wanted. ๐ Can you say….SUGAR BUZZZ!!!
Great pics Jen!
The rain thankfully missed us, but it was cooler and cloudy that day. We have yet to make it through a parade without tears yet, too. Not necessarily clowns causing them (although they are not crazy about them either) but instead the loud noises of fire trucks, sirens, horns, cannons, etc. We ALMOST made it this year and honestly – the very last thing was an old train with a shrill whistle and loud cannon…and that did Sarah in…
We have learned to get them ear plugs to help dull the noise and they DO help, but can't block everything!
They are so cute. I simply love the wagon and how each car has their own cupholder. So sweet. Of course this is coming from a mom of single babies ๐ The boys are so well behaved. And no, most don't like clowns. Mine always did because their Grandpa was a Shriner so they were around clowns a lot from the very beginning.
Did you plan to match your new hat with your shirt! Gorgeous as always! xo
Jen, I always love visiting your blog! So much fun!
Iโm currently researching mommy blogs, and I would appreciate your input about why you blog! If you would participate, please visit my blogโhttp://reflectionsofasheepishlion.blogspot.comโand answer my questions in your comment.
Thank you, and God bless you. I'll be back soon to see the quads! ๐
