Corn, Tractors, and Inflatables
There IS more than corn in Indiana…There are tractors and inflatables too!
Although it may seem like we live on the farm from our tractor overload lately, we reside in suburbia like many of you. But Good Golly, is farmland gorgeous!
Over the weekend we celebrated my nephews birthdays with a party down on the farm. The boys favored the tractors over the cupcakes!
We have several farming connections (Brad’s grandpa, uncle, friends from church), so we love our farmers (and their equipment) and all the hard work they put into providing for our nation!

Nothing Runs Like a Deere, right Farmer Kevin? Isaac affectionately named this tractor “Isaac’s Tractor”
There was plenty of room for inflatable fun on the farm! Last year the boys were petrified of this contraption, but this year they were bouncing until their little hearts content!

And where was Clark during Bouncefest 2009 you might ask? Loving on Grandma, of course!
Your turn! Are you a field mouse or a country mouse? Where would you pick to live if it was all up to you?
Wow! You sure can see Grandma in the boys! 🙂
I think it's great you're getting the boys out of the 'burbs bubble every now & then to see the rest of the world. I'm a country girl myself- so much so, that we bought a farmhouse on an acre in the suburbs and pretend like it's not surrounded by huge subdivisions 🙂
I just realized I need to make friends with some farmers 🙂
you know, I think I live right where I should. I'm in the city – but the farm is not far away. There is something very refreshing about the farmland. As long as I'm not tending the field, it relaxing me so much!
Out here in Wine Country, my father owns a vineyard managemnet business. All of our kids love the tractors! In fact, Grace my 5yo has adopted 2 as her very own. She calls them her "big tractor" and "little tractor". Whenever we are going a little stir crazy we can take a drive to go see and climb on the tractors. Sometimes we even get to ride on them!
I am from a 4000 acre family farm… and transplanted to suburbia. Just couldn't find a farmer to marry, or didn't want to in my '20's. Now I LONG to live on the farm. At least I get home to my relatives often and they have plenty of John Deeres. You are inspiring me to take PTO and take my 2 1/2 year old twins out for harvest time.

I have lived everywhere from rural Iowa to the Big D.
I have lived on the north, south, east and west coats.
I will take country living any day. :o)
OH man…Jacob would be in 7th Heaven to get to sit on those big tractors! Our fair had tractors, but they didn't appear to be open for lil ones to climb in/on.
Sarah's a bounce house fanatic – we had one at our MoMs picnic last weekend and she literally squealed in delight at the sight of it!
love this! so glorious to see your folks:) these boys, beyond precious J
