Boys and Their Dinosaurs

I think it happens to every boy at some point in their lives.  They fall madly in love with dinosaurs.  It happened to our boys following their Dino Encounter at The Children’s Museum

They’ve been smitten ever since.

How Do Dinosaurs Say Goodnight? is one of their favorite reads. In fact, they’ve memorized nearly every word on every page.

My son Keegan loves dinosaurs and I think he's about the same age as your boys (2 &1/2). I'm not sure if you've seen it, but PBS has a show on called Dinosaur Train that Keegan ADORES! It is really a great show, and a little educational as well. Last time we were at the Children's Museum, Keegan could name some of the dinosaurs from what he had learned from Dinosaur Train. Just thought I'd share! 🙂

My lil tyke is only 4 months but has just discovered that if he hits his rattle it makes noise and he loves it. He is also completely hooked on his jolly jumper. When we go to put him in it he squeals and his little legs go a mile a minute BEFORE we get him strapped in. I'm sure dinosaurs are in our future. Love the museum pics

  10. trains, trains and more trains for our 2 year old boy! Jacob turns EVERYTHING into a train! His new favorite show is "Dinosaur Train" on PBS….but he gets mad when there's too much Dino time and not enough Train time! LOL!

Sarah doesn't have just one obsession although she does love stickers and her 'stuffed animal of the day.'

that was so cute! that video reminds me of my dad when i was little. He used to be a "wild pig". he would squeal like a frightened pig crawl super fast and spin in circles while we tried to hold on on his back! it still makes me laugh thinking about it! also, did you see that "thaddeus rex" is going to be in the covington/danville area? look at his facebook, it mentions the dates.

TRAINS. It began when my son received a Thomas set for his 2nd birthday. Now that he's getting ready to turn 5…it hasn't let up a bit. Rather, it is evolving from Thomas trains to real trains – steam engines, diesels, freight trains…you name it. I've never heard any child know so much about trains!
We never hit the dinosaur phase, though. 🙂

SO fun! You tell Brad he makes a fantastic dinosaur and Mylo is expecting a dino ride when we come visit one of these days. 😉
Mylo's obsession = CARS. We have about a gazillion little matchbox cars, and he LOVES the movie. While at the mall one day, we were near the play area, where there was also a real car nearby for advertisement or something. He passed right by the play area and was more excited about the car being in the mall!!

Such a cute Video. Brad's such a good dad. I love how Issac laughs (and laughs and laughs)over and over again. I also love Clark or Brooks talking in the background.

We tried a new pumpkin patch this year and they have Tyranny the pumpkin eating dinosaur. You can check out their website at http://www.watermansfarmmarket.com They also have bounce houses, tricycle trail, small petting zoo, straw mountain and straw hill. We went with David's preschool and had a good time. Perfect for the dino lover.
David is still into Thomas the Train and Madelyn has this strange infatuation with pigs. I think the girl just likes pink! 🙂

  17. Aww! I LOVE the IN Childrens Museum. Its wonderful! The dino section is one of the best. 🙂
