Work From Home
Brad’s helping me out with this topic, so enjoy this guest post by my BFF.
The past several months have been some of the best times for my family. It has been an incredible joy and privilege to see my wife and children so much more, and all the while having faith that God would indeed provide an income for our family again, in His timing. Jen has done an incredible job of allowing me to lock myself in my office and work during the day, yet I still have the sweet option of eating lunch with my wife and kids.
Although my income is nowhere near "full-time" status yet, my schedule is, and the income is beginning to grow. I have started a company called 4tunate Design, LLC which Jen and I are working together to grow. Jen is obviously a busy mom but still provides absolutely irreplaceable value to my design. I trust her opinions and they have genuinely helped. I am doing a combination of Web Design, 3D Animation, and Social Media work, and it is really coming together. Take a look at my site for more information if you are interested. I promise to have more work examples up in the near future! www.4tunate-design.com
One project that launched this week is the “Frugal Map”, a great idea by an equally great blogger, Briana. She contacted me in December about putting together a map that would allow her readers to find frugal bloggers in their part of the country. I suggested we go with a Flash map that would be a super user-friendly format. This map was a really fun project because I not only love designing in Flash, but it is to help with a subject that is really near to this new entrepreneur/Quad Dad’s heart, being frugal! We started the map with 35 blogs in about 1/3 of the country, but it will soon canvas nearly every state, stay tuned! Check it out, find the best deals and frugal bloggers in your area, and share it with others!
Thank you all very much for your continual support and prayers during this transition in our lives. You have no idea how encouraging it has been. God truly IS faithful, and we continue to trust His providence.

You did an amazing job with this project. It's going to be a great resource for lots of people.
I love the Frugal Map and pray that you will continue to get bigger and better work. I mean how awesome is that if you could work from home with your sweet wife and adorable boys in the next room! 🙂
wow! I had no idea that Brad was behind the Frugal Map! I was just looking at that the other day. Awesome!!!
That is great that he's been able to work from home on a new endeavor. My husband works from home and its a huge help to me…it means he can help so much in the morning as we're getting ready to head for school and that he's home when I get home with the 3 kids…and often has dinner started! Its really been a huge help!
I always love visiting your blog and seeing your great love for your family & our God! Thank you for being a testament to His hand that can indeed provide All our needs if we just be obedient to Him!
Praying this new business is a Huge Success!
That is great news guys! You are in our prayers every night. I hope that this business takes off for you and that things begin to look up.
Brad, your such a good daddy and I love how you have enjoyed the boys and made the best of this time together.
XOXO

What a cool idea! I hope that in the future the frugal map might include Canada too!!!
Wishing you the best with your new adventures. Love the pics of the boys helping at home. Also, how about them COLTS. At least know I have a reason to watch the Superbowl. I will be cheering for the COLTS. Sherri
I agree with everyone else – the frugal map is genius. 🙂 And way to pursue working at home! My husband would love to have some kind of family-centered business some day and not have to spend time commuting that he could spend communing. 🙂
Brad, LOVE the frugal map!! I already got a few deals/coupons from the sites!!
Concerning your adorable photo of the boys standing on chairs: as a long time mom and teacher, I want to share that standing on a chair is much safer if you have the back facing the opposite way from your pic. Put the back against the cabinets and it's easier to climb up and down as well as much less tippy. And now…I'm heading back to actually read the blog!
