Are You A Bulldog?
(We interrupt our regularly scheduled Disney update post for this important timely message…)
March Madness is always a special time in Indiana, and especially in our house. We watch with hope each year as our teams battle for position in the NCAA tournament. Jen is a life-long Indiana Hoosiers fan, and I grew up in a family devoted to the Purdue Boilermakers. Neither of our Big Ten teams ended up making much of a dent
When Jen went to college, she added a new and exciting team to our fan list, our beloved Butler Bulldogs. We had the privilege of watching them play in historic Hinkle Fieldhouse during her college years, and even making a few runs to the Sweet 16 in the tournament.
Nothing compares to the past two years as Butler advanced {again} to the Final Four in Houston, TX last night with their win over the Florida Gators. Such an exciting win!
Our boys have also really been excited about watching the Bulldogs, and wanted to send a cheer out to the team to encourage them to play their best against their underdog counterparts, VCU.
Stay tuned for some updates from our recent trip to the “Happiest Place on Earth”!
Brad
LOVE it!!! Go Dawgs!! So excited to cheer them on again next week!! Glad your boys are loving March Madness too!! 🙂
This is awesome! Gotta love little Dawg fans 🙂 Jake proudly wears his “My first Bulldog Tee” for every game, and so far it seems to be working!!
Keep on sporting that tee, Jake! =)
Love it! I’m a huge sports nut, and my high school’s mascot was the bulldog. So yes, I can honestly say I am a bulldog!
JEN! I thought of you when they won. They’re coming to HOUSTON, which means you should totally come to Houston to see me, or you know, the team, but WHATEVER!!!
I would LOVE that! You have tickets for me, right?
SO glad for the Bulldogs. I started my masters work there before finishing at Purdue. Hope they can find the key to stopping VCU. PU didn’t have it, and this is a darned good team. GO DAWGS!
I AM a bulldog! I stumbled upon your blog a while ago through Steece’s Pieces, and then I saw this video today on Butler’s Facebook feed. Go dawgs! We’ve been teaching our 15 month old daughter some BU cheers, too. Love it!
At our house we are BYU cougar fans! When they got eliminated we were rooting for Arizona. Now we are cheering for the Bulldogs. I think it’s awesome that such a small school has done so well. Good luck.
Like Kori – I am a BYU fan, and am sad that my team lost (though so proud of their sweet 16 run!) so I loved that Butler beat Florida!
I’ve actually thought of you and your family cheering for Butler every time they’ve won and I’ve been waiting for this post so that I could share a little Butler love from over here in Utah. 🙂
Yay for March Madness!
(It has truly lived up to its name this year! My brackets are a mess. 😉
I saw your cute little boys on the morning news today (channel 13). Adorable!!!
I am a DAWG! Loved seeing the clip on WTHR.
