Butler Bulldogs Repeat History
Saturday night, Brad and I witnessed history being repeated in fairytale fashion. Our very own Butler Bulldogs pulled off the semi-final game of the NCAA Final Four to earn a trip to the grand finale of basketball for the second year in a row!
My graduating class at Butler was under one thousand students, so this is a BIG DEAL to my “small town” alma mater, our city, and our great basketball state.
Hinkle Fieldhouse hosted a packed house for a viewing party on campus, and while it wasn’t Houston, the atmosphere couldn’t have been much better…
Especially as the last seconds ticked away, and the reality sunk in that we were headed back for another chance at the National Title.
Pure Magic.
As much as we’d love to be Hoopin’ It Up in Houston for the final game,
We’ll stick to our {at home} bench seats to cheer on our beloved DAWGS.
However, Charles Barkley might soon be out of a job!
Yell it with me:
Lets!
Go!
DAWGS!
If you haven’t already seen our quads Butler cheer that made the local news, you should check it out!
Oh how I wish we could be at Hinkle with all those Butler Fans! We will be watching (and cheering loudly) with our little Cincinnati group!
GO DAWGS!!!!!
Go Butler Men! and Go Notre Dame Women! It’s a great year for hoops in the hoosier state!
LETS GO DAWGS!! SPORTING MY BLUE & MY GLASSES TODAY!!
I’m rooting for the Bulldogs tonight because of you!
Well, since I live in a burb of Houston, I will cheer on the bulldogs for you from here!!!! Good luck…
Jen,
I think Charles Barkley should be out of a job, especially from his comments before the game on Saturday when he said that VCU was a better team and that they were going to beat Butler. Go Dawgs.
LET’S GO DAWGS! I wish they would start the game sooner! I may have to take a nap so I can go the distance! This is so exciting!
We’ll be cheering for your Bulldogs tonight, Jen. So excited for a small town team to be in the championship!
Nothing better than rooting for the underdogs!!! Can’t wait for the final game!!!
Oh, how I wish you were in Houston!!!
This is the Dawgs’ year! I will be cheering for them to win!
