A Few of Our Favorite Places to Frequent

I love being home with my boys.  I love having family meals at the kitchen table.  I love playing with the boys in the backyard. I love my comfort pad that I affectionately call HOME.

But I also love to GO!  We break out of these walls quite often to run errands, or just for a change of scenery.  With two stay at home/work at home parents plus four rough and tumble boys we NEED to for our own sanity.

Want to Know Some of Our Favorite Places to Frequent?  (Besides the park, library, zoo, etc., those are givens!)

1. Lowes.  It’s BOY-Land, after all.  This is where dreams are made and toilet displays are inspected. We’ve been frequenting our local Lowes lately during our laundry room redo.  Stay tuned for some exciting deets next week! Cannot wait to tell you more!!! {Tease.}

2. Chipotle. I can feed all four of my boys for under $10.  How?  A large cheese quesadilla, a bag, of chips, and 4 waters.  I know it won’t last forever, which is why we MUST take advantage of it now!  I love love love their barbacoa tacos and guacamole!

3. Target. Yes, there’s some kind of subliminal $20 minimum purchase requirement every time you walk in those automatic doors, but Good Gracious, do I love that store! It’s so entertaining for the boys AND their mama.  We inspect the toy aisles one by one (skipping Barbie of course) and load up on the dollar spot.  This week they had some awesome preschool/kindergarten supplies.  Score! (And for the record, I only spent $15.)

4. Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt. This is our latest addiction, and when I say addiction I mean we’ve been there once make that twice and we are HOOKED.  Do tell me you have one of these close to you! If not, plan your visit to come see us right this instant!  It’s frozen yogurt with a big twist.  An entire wall of flavors greets you as you enter: Wedding Cake, Brownie Batter, Pineapple, Raspberry, etc, and then a smorgasbord of toppings to follow.  It’s all self-serve, pay by the ounce, and did I mention it’s to die for?

So what are some places YOUR family frequents?  Where will you be visiting this Labor Day weekend?  Wherever you choose, have a safe and happy holiday, and eat some frozen yogurt for me!

    Petsmart! If we go early enough they are even cleaning out rodent cages.

    We have 2 self-serve frozen yogurt places here in Salem, too, and we love them! We also dig the splash pads around town, a homeschool store (they have the best toys that Jack loves!), the library and the indoor playground.

  3. I’ve been wanting to try Chipotle forever but didn’t think it would be friendly on the wallet. Thanks for sharing your tip on how to feed a bunch of kids for a tiny price. Might just try it out this weekend. 🙂

    Yogurt land, splashpad, & Natural science museum (all hands on). Target’s toys are a HUGE blessing. As long as the kids aren’t screaming and throwing a major tantrum, it’s a good visit. 🙂 Love you sweet friend!

  5. The frozen yogurt place sounds awesome!! Wish we had one of those near us!

    We love the little town just north of us – Frankenmuth. Its a lil touristy town – a little German Bavaria. Its wonderful to stroll the beautiful streets, see the river boat (and ride it!), walk in the little plaza, there’s tons of parades and festivals year round, beautiful parks, kayaking, and so much more! we frequent the town for many things (including groceries and physical therapy) but love wandering around too!
