Read it, loved it and added it to my Kindle so it’s everywhere I go this summer. I have no excuse to stay inside.
You’re fantastic, Jen Murray. If only we could go to Skateland to celebrate…
Skate land Friday night skate! Be there with your tight roll jeans.
I can’t see the table of contents so I don’t know if you have this already, but I want to make a hot air balloon with Libbie this summer. I bet she would get a huge kick out of that!
I want to know more! Where did you find this idea? Sounds like something right up the boys alley.
The T of C should be fixed! Thanks for the tip.
Here’s where I saw it: http://bkids.typepad.com/bookhoucraftprojects/2011/05/project-84-hot-air-balloon.html
Genius.
#51: Roadtrip to Atlanta?!!!
YES!!!!! Definitely!
I love the ideas in the Table of Contents…..”go on a bug hunt” reminded me that my 4 yr. old son asked for a butterfly net recently. My 51 would have something to do with butterflies.
YES! That’s great…we did one of those Insect Lore Butterfly Kits last year and that was a HUGE hit!

purchased this for my kindle and so excited to have it around for the summer to keep my 3 boys active
#51 – go on a bear hunt based on the children’s song – going on a bear hunt – i actually found this idea online line a couple of month’s ago because my 4 year old is obsessed with singing going on a bear hunt so now go on bear hunts outside (and inside when raining) with our backpacks, flashlights, homemade maps, etc.
That’s adorable! Love that!
#51 A Park Bucket List {a list of parks to visit throughout the summer/year}
Good luck friend! So excited for you. 🙂
Thank you. Always an awesome encouragement!
Park Tour is on our list too! 🙂
Adventure #51 – hmmm, art lessons in the park? Is that in there?
Complete a “Junior Ranger” program at your local state park….or make up your own! 🙂
That sounds awesome..going to have to check and see if they offer something like that here!
Love all the ideas and as I was reading, I kept thinking of my own…then I’d keep reading and see that you already had it! :~) So my #51 would be a bike ride or perhaps a 5k (yes, doable with with kids running/walking too).
Absolutely! Good call!
I ordered it, but it didnt download–I lost the whole page when I was trying to decide where to have the download go–can’t seem to get back into it so I can keep working on getting it downloaded–I have a Mac–and we often have problems. Thanks
Joan, if the transaction went through, you should get an email giving you five chances to download. If not let me know and I can check the transactions and see if it went through… We will figure it out! 😉
Thanks–all downloaded and tucked away! Anxious to share it with some of my young mommie friends. I decided I would give them a five dollar bill and your website, so they can download to their own computers. It just looks like a great resource book for parents and grandparents. Good job!
Oh great! So thankful for you and your support, Joan!
#51 might be tip-toeing through the tulips for my dutch family!
One day, will you kidnap us for that?
#51 staycation party – camping in the backyard!
YES! Sounds like a great memory in the making!
Make a kite and fly it.
We tried that on the beach last year! So fun!
#51 – go crab hunting at night on the beach
That was my boys favorite thing we did at the beach last fall!
#51 Turn on the hose and make “watercourses” in the backyard (or wherever they’re allowed to alter the landscape) — create rivers, canyons, gorges, dams and float paper boats down the streams. I did this all the time as a kid!
Wish on a falling star.
#51 Tadpole (boy) Tea Party!!!
I would like to see a KidVenture when they visit Holland and explore windmills and plant tulips!
Kidventures #51: playing trucks in the mud. 🙂
My husband downloaded and loved it! Thanks!!
#51 – Sponge Ball Fights! http://homewiththeboys.net/the-great-water-balloon-alternative/
GENIUS!
#51: for us, it would have to be, eat out in a restaurant and not have a meltdown. 😉
