My green-ness isn’t near as good as it should be – but when I don’t use reusable bags, I save the little plastic bags and use them for trashbags in our bathrooms – love that they have handles – and you can’t beat free!!!

My daughter and I are big recyclers, but the best thing we are doing is making a “green” xmas tree this year. It is made out of soda cans. We saw it on the internet and since my BF and I drink diet mt. dew – it is a perfect fit and surprisingly beautiful.

I use reusable grocery bags.
i recycle, bring my own grocery totes, keep the thermostat at 65 in winter (brr…), am nearly vegetarian.
We recycle. I’m slowly switching out to CFL light bulbs. Kiddo uses eco-friendly reusable cloth snack bags for his lunch. I try to use cloth bags for grocery shopping and am getting better at remembering to take them in. I try consolidate errands. Otherwise, I’m not a green as I could or should be.

We turn down the thermostat, use recyclable grocery bags. We use to recycle when we lived in a town that had a program, but now sadly our current city doesn’t have a program.

hmmm… we have the energy efficient light bulbs… we recycle… keep the heat off most of the time (that’s my husband being cheap! not green! ha) We take the bus about 1/2 the time…

I always use reuseable shopping bags (they hold way more too!) and try to turn off lights whenever we leave a room. I also back a “Green” lunch for my daughter. I haven’t used any plastic bags or paper sacks at all. Just reuseable packaging.

We have only had our heater on for 4 days so far. But we live in Oklahoma and it has been unusually warm, I want to go until December before we use it regularly
We use a programmable thermostat and recycle papers, cans etc.
Reusable grocery bags and a couple for Kohs too 🙂 . . recycle . . thermostat down for sure (me or kids do not sleep well when it is too warm) . . I do need to put kids sandwiches in plastic containers instead of sandwich bags . .
I use CFL bulbs and recycle everything we can!

We use CFL lightbulbs, we use reusable bags for grocery shopping (and when we forget them we do reuse/repurpose the plastic bags), and we recycle anything and everything we can.
We recycle weekly, reuse our grocery bags for small cans, bought reusable water bottles for everyone in our house so that we aren’t buying them in the store. Those are the easiest ones that we do all the time. I also make my own bath and body products and cleaning products using ingredients like vinegar and baking soda to cut down on the aerosol, chemicals and fumes.
Reuse grocery bags at whole foods especially

We reuse containers and plastic baggies. We also set the thermostat on 78-80 this summer and didn’t even have the air on this October!!!! Cut our bill in half!
We are also giving composting a go…. :o)

I use resuable grocery bags, get the kids to help me recycle plastic and newspapers, and they’ve been taught to turn off lights in rooms that are not being used.
We are as green as we can be. We recycle plastic bags, re-use items for other purposes, use “green” lighting…

I love my cloth diapers. I am thankful that we are now out of them, but I loved them! We also participate in our community’s curbside recycling. It has definitely helped me recycle more consistently.

We practise being green by using a wood stove to heat our home instead of a furnace. I shop with reusable bags and we always recycle our pop cans, milk cartons, etc.

We are really into water conservation.
Timers for showers, toothbrushing and dispacers in toilet tanks also rain barrels and drip lines instead of sprinklers.

Although we don’t do as well as we should (or could), we do small things like use cloth bags (when I remember to get them out of the trunk!), always turn off lights in rooms we aren’t in, and try and conserve water by not running it the entire time we brush teeth :-).
we don’t use the heat on our dishwasher
