Winter Skin Rescue {Neutrogena Giveaway}

home alone movie harry gets burnt on door knobHave you ever volunteered to do the holiday family dishes?  You pull up your sleeves, start scraping off Uncle Jerry’s leftovers, put your hands in the hot soapy water, and then immediately need to run outside to stick your hands in a snow bank. {Harry on Home Alone after he gets burnt on the door knob style.}

Dry, chapped skin is a constant battle in our house this time of year. So I was much relieved when I finally found a hand cream that actually helps heal dry skin, rather than just mask it for a few minutes.

It’s Neutrogena® Hand Cream and sells for under $5. Worth every pretty penny.

What do I like about it?

  • It’s fragrance free – because my boys struggle with patches of dry skin also and a girly scent would not fly.
  • It last longer than any other hand cream I’ve tried in the past.
  • It makes skin smooth and soft but not oily or greasy.
  • It works on dry skin anywhere – not just your hands.

And for the final giveaway of 2011, I have a collection of “Winter Skin Rescue Goodies” from Neutrogena which includes a bottle of the Hand Cream, Rainbath Shower and Bath Gel, Body Oil, Lip Moisturizer, and Moisture Wrap Body Lotion. Everything you need for the upcoming long months of winter!

To enter just leave a comment about how you keep your skin healthy during the long winter months.

This is a 48 hour giveaway so sign up now! Winner will be chosen randomly and notified via email.

    OOOH! I need this package! My hands get dry and crack badly every winter. Mainly I use lotion on my hands. I put it on the backs of my hands and then rub just the backs together. HA! I hate having it on the palms of my hands and then touching things. This definately looks like a good lotion for me to try! I may have to pick some up when I am shopping today. Have a nice Christmas:)

    I have struggled with sensitive skin my entire life and love anything fragrance free. Aveeno is my current product but I also like neutropenia. One thing I always remember to do is moisturize, moisturize, moisturize. That is the key for me.

    It is too funny that you wrote about this lotion!!! I struggle with dry hands, especially after my daughter spent 4 1/2 weeks in the NICU last winter….my hands did not survive the winter weather AND the constant hand washing in the NICU. A year later, my hands are still a mess!!!!! I feel like I have tried every product on the market. Recently, I tried the very Neutrogena lotion you are highlighting and IT IS A DREAM COME TRUE. It works so well!!! I do have trouble finding it in stores where I live, so I will cross my fingers (my mosturized fingers) that I win!!!!!

A few months ago i started using Goat Milk Soap from The Goat Milk stuff people 🙂 We rarely use lotion anymore and does wonders to keep the skin from getting so dry! we cant avoid the chapped cheeks from the wind though and aquafor still comes in handy 🙂

  39. Kathy says:
