The Best Holiday Since Kids…

We were honestly blessed with one of THE BEST Thanksgivings ever!  This was the first holiday that Brad and I have been able to "enjoy" since before the pregnancy.  Let me explain that statement.  It’s not that we haven’t had any joy in celebrating holidays with family over the past 2 years, but it’s been much more on the work side than on the kick back, eat a warm meal, actually take part in conversation, stay for more than one "feeding" side.  And prior to that I was on house-arrest bedrest for the holiday season. There is welcomed freedom with toddlerhood!

We kicked back in C-town on Thursday and were surprised by my oldest brother and his wife being our guests of honor.  My sister’s family flew them in from Florida at the last minute so the 17 of us could be together!  Here’s some picture highlights from the holiday weekend.

The boys had their feast before AND after the Thanksgiving dinner.  (They’re growing boys!)  Isaac and Clark insisted on wearing their pilgrim hats for most of the day.

Henry giving Brooks the "Don’t even think about stealing my turkey" look. The pumpkin bread was their favorite.

While the boys took their afternoon nap, we gathered around and enjoyed some FINE cooking thanks to my sis and sis-in-law. (We gave my mom the year off and since our fam had been soooo sick leading up to Turk Day, I got outta cooking too!) I owe you girls!  =)

My mom was thrilled to have all her kids around one table. (Brad was behind the camera.)

And here’s a comparison shot from last year with Brad’s family just for fun!

We are sooooo thankful for our families and look forward to more memories with you this season!
