TGIF

It’s been a FULL week and I don’t know about you, but I’m sooooo glad it’s FRIDAY! Even better, it’s Easter weekend. An incredible reason to celebrate the sacrifice of the cross, the miracle of the tomb, and the redemption of our sins. TGIF!

Here’s some of my favorite highlights of this week:
(One highlight I’m saving for it’s very own post, cuz it’s just that good!)

~ Brooks – Our first toilet swimming. I turned my back to find him with both hands in the water, splashing away.
~ Isaac – Cruising all over the place. So proud of him!
~ Henry– Locking himself in the playroom when everyone else was outside the gate.
~ Clark – Saying, “Go, Go!”

Unfortunately, the changing table shelf got the best of Brooks yesterday while practicing his walking skills. I think he looks adorable even with a goose on his head. It’s kind of a rite of passage for a little boy. He’s amazingly tough – he was back to smiling 2 minutes later! I sooooooo would have cried harder and longer over a bump that big!

And for these reasons, my friends, we’ve invested in our trusty baby gate.

Through good times….

And the not so good times….

Keeping babies safe, one day at a time. TGIF!

  1. My daughter got her first big bruiser this week, too, but not as bad as Brooks. Poor guy!

Our two stand at the gate and cry too – especially when we’re making dinner. I’m just waiting for the day they figure out how to climb over it…

Oh – am excited to share with you that my Mothers of Multiples group loved the idea of the NICU survival kits too and we’re going to try to start them for our area too. Got lots of details to iron out, but glad to know we can share such a great idea with others!

Flying home from Chicago this week, all flights into DFW got cancelled. The best flight they could get me on the next day was connecting through Indianapolis! I thought of you guys during my 5 hour layover in the airport…hoped they might have the St. Vincent’s sign somewhere there. They didn’t. 🙂

Have a BLESSED Easter weekend – may the grace of God pour over your family even more abundantly!

Oh they are SO cute! I still cannot imagine having FOUR of them, I’m having enough trouble keeping up with ONE!

    You’re a trooper!

  5. Bless his little heart…that is a big bump…but like you said, it’s to be expected, especially from boys!1 🙂 My third (Sarah) knocked her front tooth loose a couple weeks after we brought our 4th baby home from the hospital…I felt like the world’s worst mother. She had to have the tooth removed-I thought it would kill me when I first saw her with that big hole in front of her mouth-we’ve gotten used to it-and she doesn’t mind. (And she wasn’t quite 2!!!) They do bounce back quick…thank goodness. 🙂

I just love checking out your blog! Your boys are so cute. We have a house full of girls (4 age 3 and under), so I enjoy seeing what life with boys is like over here. The pics on this post are absolutely adorable!!

I love the baby gate pics. I so remember those days. We still need to take all of the hook and eyes off of the closets. Have a wonderful weekend and enjoy those boys!

My sister just sent me a link to your blog because she thought I might know you and/or your husband from Butler. I don’t, but I do remember just noticing your announcement in the Butler magazine! Congratulations, and I so enjoy your blog. What an encouragment! Have a blessed Easter.

Happy Easter! Mine got a nice big bump with a crease in it from the babysitter’s house. This will be the first of many! I love the gate pic, and I really love that they are all in the same pj’s!

I love posters who think they have it all figured out and think that being mean and rude is the answer. “watchfulmama” probably isn’t even a mama ’cause if she was she’d understand. Just delete them. You guys are doing a fantastic job with your boys and no matter if you are right next to them, they are still going to fall down and get a bump. That’s part of life. We do the best we can and then leave the rest in God’s hands. Don’t let crazy posters discourage you. You’re doing great! Happy Easter.

Oh, the gate! I hate our gate! But sometimes it is so necessary, that we can’t bring ourselves to get rid of it yet! You’d be surprised how hard it is to keep 4 toddlers out of a hot oven or a pile of swept-up food!
