Walk a Mile in My Shoes…
Being a mother of quadruplets has been a truly eye-opening experience.
It’s given me a deeper appreciation for many things.
It’s caused me to better examine my intentions and motives.
It’s opened my eyes to a world that’s experiencing deep grief and sorrow.
It’s allowed me to experience joy in an immeasurable way.
It’s shown me that I can’t do things by my own power, no matter how hard I try.
It’s revealed the selfishness of my heart.
It’s given me a greater respect for life.
It’s redefined my definition of love.
It’s taught me that I can’t truly understand someone else’s circumstances without walking a mile in their shoes.

You know what…infertility has taught me lots of things, but one of the most important ones is exactly that…you have no idea what someone is going through unless you've been in their shoes. It has taught me to be compassionate in all of life's circumstances(especially when I have no idea what it must be like). I love your posts girl!
I think just becoming a mother can do that for most women….but I imagine that feeling is 'multiplied' after facing the challenges you did on your journey there…
So true . . . . I remember at one point during our struggles to start a family that God graciously allowed me just a glimpse into some of the lives that I'd thought were "perfect" ~ discovering, of course, that they had faced their own trials and heartbreaks in different ways.

I just saw the you have TK and Deidrea's story on your blog. I am in their LifeGroup at church, and we were pregnant at the same time. In fact, Deidrea was meeting another lady and I to go walking the day she had her sono to find out if she was pregnant with a boy or a girl. She, instead, came bearing the news that their little boy had serious medical issues. We all cried together. TK & Deidrea are really THAT neat!!!

I just wanted to say thank you for the NICU survival kit. It has meant the world to me. My triplets are doing great. Nelson is finally on c-pap and the girls do not have any help to breathe. It was a pleasure meeting you. It is so sweet with what you do for others.
